There is a saying: “When you have more than you need, build a longer table, not a higher fence”. However, in recent years politicians have built over 6000 miles of separation barriers. Today, they are built at a rate unparalleled in history.

Dividing communities in this way has never succeeded in bringing peace. It only emerges once the walls are demolished. And yet we build more. The Israeli Separation Barrier has become part of the landscape of the Land we once called Holy. Every day it grows longer and every day more and more people are besieged by it.

This project is my “beautiful resistance” to the desecration of this holy land. It records in film and painting my experience of living beside the Wall – ‘Drawing Attention’ to the harm it is doing to the Jewish, Moslem and Christian people in its shadow.
